iki for readers & writers

Read it later. Keep it for good.

The article comes in whole, not as a link. It reads cleanly, gets a one-line summary and stays yours as a file, even if the website, or we, disappear.

three moments

Where IKI helps most.

01

A reader built for reading.

Five themes, e-ink among them. Highlights remember the exact sentence, and any highlight can become a quote card.

02

Listen to your week.

Radio turns the week’s summaries into an episode read by a voice that runs on your phone.

03

Bring the old list with you.

Pocket and Raindrop exports, Evernote .enex, mymind and your Safari Reading List come in as cards and files.

What it looks like, day by day.

wed

Radio on the walk home: nine minutes of your week.

thu

Turn a highlight into a quote card and send it.

sun

Recall asks what you remember from Tuesday’s essay.

straight answers

What IKI won’t do for you.

It helps to know the limits before you start.

  • Paywalled articles come in as far as your phone can read them. Deep Parse can try again. It sends only the link to our server, and only when you tap it.
  • If Pocket deleted your list before you exported it, nobody can bring it back. If you kept the export, IKI reads it.
  • IKI isn’t a feed reader, so there are no site subscriptions. Shelves are the closest thing, and they’re curated.

the difference, in three lines

Reads everything. Sends nothing.
Leaves you the files.

Start a reading list that stays yours.

It’s free to start, and every article is a file.
